15th Symposium on Bacterial Genetics and Ecology “Ecosystem drivers in a changing planet” 26–30 May 2019 • Lisbon/Portugal
The bi-annual BAGECO symposium is a leading European conference in prokaryotic genetics and ecology, promoting debate and discussion around the most pressing questions in the broad fields of microbiology, microbial ecology, metagenomics and complementary disciplines. In this regard, the BMMO network will promote a round table on beneficial microbes and “Host-microbe interactions as driving forces of ecosystems”. Dr. Michael Sweet will moderate this BMMO round table and Dr. Raquel Peixoto is an invited speaker presenting “Microbiome manipulation of marine hosts and its potential to foster ecosystem resilience”. We are excited about the opportunity to discuss the state-of-the-art, new ideas, questions and challenged on this topic in Lisbon!
